08. Cutesy CGI Animal Movies – Open Season, The Ant Bully, Barnyard, Flushed Away, The Wild, Over The Hedge, Happy Feet, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown… Can anyone distinguish one from another?
07. Sitting On My Ass For Nine Hours A Day – One of the drawbacks of having an 9a -6p office job with an hour commute each way. I’m not as svelte as I was when I was unemployed last year.
06. Lack Of Drunkenness – Easily remedied in 2007, sorely missed in 2006.
05. My Perez Hilton Blog Obsession – I can’t stop reading about the train wrecks but he’s got pictures of accidental cooter flashes five minutes after they happen. He’s an a$$hole; an opportunistic blogger that is famous for preying on celebrity photographs and rumor like a vulture. Goddamn it, someone stop me!
04. The Fact That I Can’t Repeat Any ‘Worst Of’s of 2005 – The Scientologists, traffic and zombies still annoy and (alternately) frighten me but I can’t list them again. I don’t like to repeat myself, you see.
03. Friends Moving Out Of LA – Pat & Courtney, Brandon & Missy, Heather, Keri and, soon, Cass. CUT IT OUT!
02. Friends and Family Not Visiting PhiLA – Christine may be the first (perhaps) to visit next month since Cliff & Sarah way back in 2003. I’ve got hot spots to visit, delicious restraints to show off, stores on Melrose to shop, celebrities to ‘run into’… Is it me or is it LA that you hate so much?
01. Being So Far Away From Loved Ones – Yeah, so these top three of the bottom ten kind of tie into one another. I can’t help it - I get nostalgic a lot lately. I miss my family as I see them only once a year as of late. I miss my friends in Michigan when I see them even less than that (and some high school friends once every fifteen years). I miss my right coast friends because they’re quality peeps and being closer would mean more colaboration – There’s so much potential that’s not being taken advantage of!
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got some amazing friends out here. Why can’t we just all cohabit the same region?
That’s kind of it. I had to think really hard about this list this year – 2006 was good to me. I even threw in some filler entries that I wouldn’t normally mention just to round up the number to ten. See you next year!
